Vladislav Pedder

Vladislav Pedder is a writer and translator-researcher. His work is focused on the philosophy of pessimism, the tragic, and antinatalist thought.

Was born on July 7, 1998, in Omsk, and has Estonian roots.

In February 2026, he completed his higher education in Economics, graduating with a bachelor's degree from Moscow International University. . He popularizes philosophical pessimism in Russia. In 2024-2025, he carried out a large-scale project of compiling and translating into Russian an extensive body of work by the Norwegian philosopher Peter Wessel Zapffe, publishing it in print in Russian for the first time.

In January 2025, his first original work, The Experience of the Tragic, was published, marking the beginning of the dilogy The Tragic. It was followed by the second volume, Processual Pessimism: On the Nature of Cosmic Suffering and Human Nothingness, which was released in English in January 2026 and in Russian in March 2026.
