Leslie L. Halliwell

Robert James Leslie Halliwell was born in Bolton. He bought most of the feature films and series screened by the ITV network during the 1980s, going twice a year to Hollywood in search of them. He had been an enthusiast for the mediums since childhood. He managed several Rank Organisation and specialist cinemas and was a member of two National Film Archive committees.
