Due to increasing environmental degradation, the role of medicine and health care will increasingly require leadership in developing models of health care that do no harm to the environment while continuing to provide high quality medical care.\r\n\r\nIn addition to his work with Teleosis, Joel is an adjunct faculty member of John F. Kennedy University\u2019s Graduate School of Holistic Studies and an instructor at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medical College.\r\n\r\nHe also serves as the chair of Sustainable Berkeley\u2014an alliance of local business and government leaders.
