Peter Taylor has published seven books and chapbooks and his poems have appeared in journals and anthologies in Canada and in more than a dozen other countries. His newest collection, Cities Within Us was published by Guernica Editions in 2024 and shortlisted for the Welsh Poetry Book Awards. Hell-box, his latest chapbook was published by Frog Hollow Press in 2020. Antietam, his experimental verse play on the Civil War, was awarded honourable mention in the 2010 War Poetry Contest in Northampton, Massachusetts. Trainer, a mosaic of poems based on his father’s experience as a pilot during the Second World War, was published by The Paget Press and included an introductory poem by Raymond Souster. The Masons was published by Gryphon Press and Aphorisms by the Adela Press. He holds a master’s degree in English Literature and has worked as a printer and bookbinder, medical publisher, institute director and non-profit executive. Born in Edmonton, he now lives in Aurora, Canada.
