Julio Ramón Ribeyro

Julio Ramón Ribeyro Zúñiga (Lima-31 de agosto de 1929-Lima, 4 de diciembre de 1994) fue un escritor peruano, figura destacada de la generación del 50 del Perú, y considerado uno de los mejores cuentistas de la literatura latinoamericana. Aunque el mayor volumen de su obra lo constituyen sus relatos cortos, también destacó en otros géneros, como la novela, el ensayo, el teatro, el diario y el aforismo.

Julio Ramón Ribeyro Zúñiga (Lima, August 31, 1929 – Lima, December 4, 1994) was a Peruvian writer, a leading figure of the Generation of '50 in Peru, and considered one of the best short story writers in Latin American literature. Although the majority of his work consists of short stories, he also excelled in other genres, such as the novel, the essay, theater, the diary, and the aphorism.
