Bio: I authored 16 textbooks and an editor asked if I had a novel in me. This unearthed a revelation … when a scientist restricted to science-fact is released to flirt into science-fiction, interesting things start to happen. My character needed a tech, I developed a solution that modeled too well, leading to a start-up, 50 patents, and acquisition by a Fortune 500.
