Elizabeth Walter was a British author who wrote fantasy and horror short stories and novels. She was raised in the Welsh Border country, and later in her life she lived in London, though she often returned to the Wye Valley and the Black Mountains. She worked as an editor for a British publishing house, and she edited the Collins Crime Club titles for more than thirty years, from 1961-1993.
